About Me
I’m Astrid, the artist behind Wanderglass Art. I work with stained glass to explore light, memory, and emotion. Drawing inspiration from nature, quiet moments, and the stories we carry.
My background in psychology and design has shaped the way I approach my work: intuitively, with attention to symbolism, balance, and feeling. I’m drawn to color as a language, and to glass for its contradictions, fragile yet strong, sharp yet luminous.
My work is also deeply influenced by my roots: Panamanian tradition, family memories, and the visual stories of home often find their way into my pieces. Through stained glass, I connect to both heritage and personal reflection, using the medium to explore what feels both familiar and sacred.
Each piece I create is one-of-a-kind, crafted with care using recycled and hand-cut glass. For me, it’s not just about the finished object, but what it holds, a season, a mood, or a moment suspended in light.
I’m based between California and Panama, and currently available for commissions and select collaborations.
Thank you for being here, I hope my work brings a sense of stillness, beauty, or recognition to those who find it.
